When Israel can blow them up with impunity. if the Lebanese State is going to deter Israel from bombing their towns an cities without relying on paramilitaries like Hezbollah, they need proper modern air defences and war planes as well as the armour to deter the (ongoing) ground invasion!
Only a United and strong Europe can provide that sort of defence against a rampant Zionist State like Israel!
The only reason Lebanon is weak is because they have no powerful backers. Sovereign states should have the ability to defend themselves if unjustly attacked, and it's because they are too weak to defend against Israeli aggression that they rely on paramilitaries so that Israel can't blame the (Lebanese) State.
You just can't ask Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah, without giving them the means to defend themselves first!
It's the same in Gaza, why would Hamas want to lay down their arms while Israel is actually on their territory with all their guns pointed at them?
