Si, I was at the supermarket this morning getting a big shop, enough food to last beyond the Israeli (so called) election.
At the self serve checkout after scanning everything through, it wouldn't accept my card, having to get the supervisor to clear it so I could try again. After the third attempt, she couldn't get it to reset and it was saying, this (card only) checkout no longer accepts debit cards. So she had to cancel the whole transaction and take the invoice to the Kiosk and pay there with a manually operated card machine, which (eventually) went through.
I don't know if they were just inconveniencing me or hoping I would lose my rag? They should know by now that I'm a survivor and you don't survive (for long) under these circumstances if you lose your rag! My mind was too busy working out an alternative method of payment (cash machine eg), or even an alternative shop if I had to abandon what I had. there was no need but it just shows you that you think everything is easy swiping your card or entering your PIN but all it takes is a click of a mouse from a corrupt official and you're f*&ked!!!
