Last time I ordered a pair of headphones online, they were delayed by the so called security services for nearly a month!

So this time I paid extra for DPD's next day delivery service. At first it seemed OK, saying parcel will be delivered today. However, now there is a tag on the tracking saying my parcel is delayed, without giving an explanation.

Luckily it is not a desperately needed item, just an upgrade to an existing power supply that's working fine!

It does however highlight the issues I face ordering stuff online. my spectacles arrive with chemicals on them that irritate my eyes, the clothes I order do not fit, they swap my computer that I order for one of theirs that spies and malfunctions and benign stuff is indefinitely delayed!

A footnote to say that this arrived today.

...and a nod to Farnel Ltd. Does the job of a 12v 5 amp wall wart power supply but weighs 1.8 kilos and does the job a thousand times better! The UK makes the best engineered stuff in the world without exception! (and it only cost £20 inc post)
