I Was Shot At

On the way back from my pre arranged visit to the JC, someone fired a gun at me from a passing car. I assume it was a blank (or a bad shot) as I am not injured (or dead) but it did give me an awful fright, like I presume it was meant to do. Normally I would have informed the so called police, but they are part of the problem (like the IDF in the West Bank), not part of the solution.

September 2009 driving in Devon with my partner, I went up one of the many lanes for a piss, while doing so a scrambler type motorbike arrived and the pillion passenger pointed a full size shotgun directly at me before driving off without shooting.

October 2017 someone discharged both barrels of their shotgun into the forest i was in, again no injuries. Same year while walking to shop along isolated road, a car stopped in a lay-by in front of me, the driver got out, removed a rifle shaped gun bag from his rear seat and put it in the boot. Now this!

It's nothing new either! Aged about 18 in the late 70's (before Mountbatten's assassination) me and three mates were driving to Blackpool for a fun weekend. We stopped at a service station on the M6 for petrol when a guy pulled in next to us, grabbed a ww2 style rifle from his back seat and pointed it towards us, we drove off (Naively) thinking he was going to rob the petrol station (wrong weapon). There was a police patrol car on the M55 Blackpool motorway, so we stopped and informed them what had happened but they were not interested and just started intimidating us, taking all our details and running them through the computer (or whatever they had back then), checking our tyres etc. (like they were in on it).

Later, after we had, had a few pints, the guy from the petrol station turned up unarmed hoping to intimidate us. probably the biggest mistake he ever made!
