So Burnham has promised everyone (even me) £100 to help with heating costs this winter from his magic money tree. As Thatcher said, pennies are NOT from heaven, they have to be earned here on Earth.

You can't solve energy crises with bribes, it's our so called friends in Washington and Tel-Aviv (and net 0 Pro Israeli traitors like Milliband and Polanski here) that are causing trouble in the middle east AND Russia in an effort to deliberately starve Europe (that we're part of) of fuel, so we (Europe) can't compete economically or militarily with them.

Energy prices are purely down to supply and demand. As long as Trump is squeezing our supply the price will remain high as demand outstrips supply. Giving people extra money (for free) to buy more fuel only adds to the supply deficit as people can suddenly afford to burn more. Plus, this magic money tree will come back to bite us economically later. (ask Boris).

Don't believe Trump's anti nuclear Rhetoric. Even if Iran had the bomb (which they may already have), they wouldn't dare use it pre-emptively as the US and Israel have enough Nuclear weapons to obliterate them off the face of the Earth. it's a last resort deterrent in case Israel attacks them pre-emptively with Nuclear weapons (mutually assured destruction).

The real reason is as above as Iran is only a medium power compared to the potential of an un-occupied Europe.
