Hoping I will speak ill of the dead! I have nothing but praise an admiration for the late Mrs Widdecombe as it was her that said Michael Hecht (Howard) had 'something of the night' about him, giving the (real) powers that be an excuse to use my powers to full effect during his (Hecht's) bid to become PM. The downside of course was that (by design) there was no alternative to Tony Bliar!
