So how come Jewish immigrant Albert Battenberg's heirs (Edward V11, George V) were allowed to ascend to our throne despite having a Jewish father? According to Jewish law and tradition, it's the mother not the father that determines if a child is legally Jewish. So because Edward & George had a Christian mother (Victoria), they were (apparently) allowed to ascend despite being half Jewish (with all the problems that has caused).
However Kate Goldsmith (Middleton) is different as because her mother Carole Middleton (Nee Goldsmith) is 100% Jewish, under Jewish law and tradition, so is Kate and her heir (Prince Solomon). This of course means that unlike Edward and George (V). Prince Solomon (George) can NOT legally ascend to our throne!
