No One Comes To My Door

Without prior permission (and instruction) from the British Security Services. That's what I like to keep in mind.

I have been with a mobile broadband 4G service fore about 3 or 4 years now. Before that I had fixed broadband and it was terrible as they had spliced into it and were manipulating it. Mobile broadband is different, the mast is like a giant wifi router that anyone (with a SIM) can use. That means they can't interfere with my broadband without interfering with everyone else's and because I am near the mast I get a good signal and good speeds.

A few days ago I got a letter from my mobile broadband provider telling me the mandatory part of my contract has expired (actually about 2 years ago) and I am free to switch supplier if I wish, here's our number to cancel the DD or you can ignore this and carry on as normal Blah Blah.

This afternoon, my door bell rings, thinking it's the so called Police answering a complaint about me playing music at a reasonable volume, I answered it (Re no one comes to my door) and it was a sales Rep from talk talk offering me three months free broadband, with greatly increased speeds, then same as current price!

I respectfully declined!

They went to great lengths to decline me a gas supply (and easy access to bathwater), now they have went to extreme lengths to (try and) get me on a fixed broadband line. They obviously (at their own peril) STILL think I am dumb!!!

The bad news is that the so called authorities clearly still have (X amount) of time left to try and fit me up! As it is obvious that's what they would try to do with this (bargain) fixed broadband deal!
