So last week when I set up my DD for electricity after moving my account from Utilita to EDF after they refused to release my gas account because of debt by 'the occupier' (Yeeha) they said they would try to get my gas moved again, I said go ahead and try but unlikely to succeed. Then I got cut off so I phoned back, different operator said gas transfer successful, supply will go live on 27th. 27 came and went, no sign of account online or on my smart meter, so yesterday I phoned them (EDF) and they assured me the gas account is live and will send written confirmation in due course. So I phoned housing association to get the gas uncapped and they sent a guy round the same day but it was just a sick game you know just a handyman not a gas engineer, with SF soldiers going in and out the flat opposite while he was there talking crap. then he said he will need to go to his van and phone the office. So I looked out the window and the 'nutty' neighbour was walking around with her dog in her nighty! then he came back and said he will make appointment with gas engineer and I'll here from them, more sad games in the close.
Today I get a letter from Utilita saying they had to object to the gas transfer (again), so I phoned EDF (again) and they said yes it has been blocked and they can't understand why an operative told me it was live? So I phoned housing association (again) and cancelled engineer appointment.
Of course I am not happy about these people 'taking the piss', in time I will be insisting that the so called housing association get their wallet out and fit an electric shower as I have no (convenient) way of getting a proper wash.
