I think you'll find that it's Iran that's imposing sanctions on us by blocking that strait. Iran has said all along that ships from friendly Countries can pass through but ships from unfriendly Countries can not. Contemplating imposing yet more sanctions on a Country (Iran) that is enduring unprovoked attacks from aggressive expansionist minded Countries (Israel-US) does NOT seem like a very friendly thing to do!
