I have consistently said that my father and his National service buddy Ken Clarke started blackmailing the Battenbergs (Louis Mounbatten) in 1969 when I was still a child. He (so called father) went from being a door to door salesman on a council estate to being a wealthy owner of a house in a posh part of town and acquired his own Insurance brokers business overnight. While I moved from a run down survival of the fittest rough as you like primary school to a posh suburban school in my new posh suburb. However, the fact I had to walk all the way home for some packet soup and a slice of bread while all my new found affluent friends and my older brother were getting school meals meant something was terribly wrong (for me).
Now this biographer with the Jewish sounding name is saying that Queen Battenberg was almost having a nervous breakdown during the summer of 69''
