...and fraudsters I don't use my (cancer causing) mobile phone much because I have a proper computer and broadband and (as a prisoner) I'm always indoors, However I do need my phone as my bank and paypal text me sometimes if I buy something online. When one of these texts never arrived I noticed I had no mobile number. further investigation revealed that three (apparently) de-activate your sim card and number if you don't give them money by topping up after a while. So I bought a new payg sim card and £10 pound top up voucher, put the sim in my phone and they sent a text with my new number. fair enough but with a question mark above the phone bars I can't top up via their number (444),or connect to the internet so using wifi from my broadband, I accessed three website, inputed my (newly received) phone number and topup voucher number and they said thank you very much for the cash your topup was successful, now, hours later and still a question mark and no connectivity, not even to their helpline.
Of course it also means I can't phone anyone, even if I wanted to!
