To leave the US and Israel hegemony's rivals in Europe and the middle east with a huge multi billion dollar disaster zone bill in the Gaza strip that they (Israel) deliberately created to pay for the reconstruction. Israel and America need to foot their fair share of the bill!
I can't think of any other reason for all that wanton destruction of Gaza's infrastructure if ethnic cleansing is NOT the name of their game. They (Israel and US) must know that the strip will need rebuilt from scratch AND that someone will have to pay for it!
...and that Israel (and the US) can flatten what gets built again on a whim if not militarily opposed!!!!
